PATTERN MAKING

The pattern cutter begins the covering of the last with an adhesive canvas on which he draws the model; he will then use the canvas to reproduce the model on cardboard pattern.

It is from this pattern that the cutter, using the skiving knife will cut the pieces of leather that will constitute the upper of the shoe. These pieces of leather would then be pared, assembled and sewn by the specialist craftsman.

PROTOTYPING

The provisional model made of leather is created from the last by the master shoemaker. This is when the last on which the shoe is made can be perfected.

The fit, foot room & style is evaluated. The shoe maker notes the point to produce a perfect pair of shoe.

CLOSING

At every stage of the bespoke shoe construction, craftman can accommodate any desire the customer have for personalization, so long as it is in keeping the identity of RapaWalk.

Thus, the vamp pattern maker can customize a flower tip on the vamp: drawing or initials, the possibilities are infinite

FINISHING

At last the shoemaker brings the final touch: the patina, know how unique to RapaWalk house.

The customer chooses it from among our designing possibilities and the final details gives the bespoke shoe their unique personality, the personality of the weaver.
